“Great insight into the minds of a journalist. Loved every minute. Really helpful. Thanks guys!”
“Really useful and engaging day. You’ve got me excited to pitch.”
“Amazing advice on selling and press releases – thank you.”
These are just some of the lovely comments we got after running our last Ultimate Media Training Day for PRs. With many of you asking for a broadcast and crisis comms course, we thought it was about time that we launched our Ultimate Training session – part 2.
This course has been devised by experienced broadcaster Helen Croydon and Nine Media’s co-founder Karen Attwood and is a great follow-up for anyone who has taken our first Ultimate Media Training Day for PRs. But anyone who has interest in pitching stories to the broadcast media would also find this new course useful.
Here is a breakdown of the morning:
Broadcast Secrets will reveal what happens inside a broadcast newsroom, when and how they choose their stories and how to build your contacts in the industry. You will get an insight into the main platforms of broadcast including radio news, flagship TV news bulletins, topical magazine shows and rolling news channels and how to tailor your story pitch for each one.
Becoming a Pundit will give you the tools to build your client’s profile as a media commentator. Whether it’s a one-off media campaign, or they want to become a regular pundit we will reveal the tools to reaching producers and recognizing media opportunities.
Live on Air is full of tips on how to perform well on air and get you or your spokespeople camera ready. We cover interview preparation, getting out of awkward questions and how to handle a crisis interview.
You can book your tickets for the morning session which will take place on December 1 here. And don’t worry if you still haven’t made it to one of our hugely successful Ultimate Media Training Days, where we cover Journalist Secrets, Press Release Bootcamp, Pitching, and Twitter. We’re holding the next one on November 24 and you can book tickets to that here. We look forward to seeing you soon!
